All Hallows Church stands at the heart of Middle Woe and serves as the village’s place of worship, weddings, funerals, and occasional misunderstandings.
Brother Geoffrey currently resides on the church porch under Sanctuary Law, much to the confusion of visitors and the mild irritation of several villagers.
The church officially honours all saints collectively because no individual saint has yet agreed to take responsibility for Middle Woe.
The geese are not under any saint’s jurisdiction and never have been. They consider themselves the true authority in village affairs, a view shared only by the geese.
