Beetroot Festival
POSTED AT THE MANOR GATE To all householders of Middle Woe,
The annual Beetroot Festival has been cancelled.
This decision follows last year's regrettable celebrations, during which the resulting stains proved both permanent and remarkably widespread.
The Office of the Reeve has determined that neither clothing, livestock, nor Father Puddlewick's best altar cloth have yet recovered.
Accordingly, no further beetroot festivities shall be permitted until such time as beetroot can be persuaded to behave in a more orderly manner.
