POSTED AT THE MANOR GATE Notice is hereby given,
The Office of the Manorial Clerk reports that the village pinfold on Water Lane presently contains:
Three geese. One pig of uncertain ownership. One goat.
The goat has lodged what appears to be a formal objection to its confinement.
The Office is presently considering the matter.
Owners are requested to claim the above livestock without unnecessary delay.
Any animal remaining unclaimed shall, after the customary period, be deemed available for public service.
Accordingly, such animals may be appointed to the newly established Department of Ungoverned Nuisance and Grievances (D.U.N.G.)
The precise duties of the Department have yet to be determined.
The goat has already expressed an interest in the position.
