Leaf Raking Rota
Good morrow, Parishioners,
In the interests of fairness, the Parish Council has introduced a new leaf-raking rota from immediate effect.
This document outlines precisely who may rake, sweep, and which leaves may be raked on which day. Any deviation from the approved raking direction (clockwise, due to prevailing winds and superstition), will result in the offending party being assigned the task of counting every leaf in the parish.
Please note: the weather is looking increasingly windy, from the south west for the next twenty days but this is of course no excuse for not raking in the correct manner.
In addition, the village children have taken to rearranging the leaves daily, but this is of course no excuse for an incorrect total being reported.
