The Village of Middle Woe

One unidentified bone

POSTED AT THE MANOR GATE Notice is hereby given,

The Office of the Manorial Clerk has received into its care one unidentified bone, discovered within the churchyard of All Hallows.

At the present time, the Office is unable to determine whether said bone formerly belonged to:

Saint Cuthbert, a chicken, or a parishioner.

Further investigation remains ongoing.

Any person believing themselves to be the rightful owner is invited to submit a formal claim.

Suitable evidence of ownership shall be required.

The Office reminds parishioners that statements including "I think it might be mine" are unlikely to prove sufficient.

The bone shall remain in official custody until ownership can be satisfactorily established.
