The management is pleased to announce that tomorrow's special will be Turnip Soup.
The recipe has been in my possession for many years and bears no resemblance whatsoever to the recent disappearance of several prize-winning turnips from the Village Turnip Growing Contest.
Any suggestion that the two matters are connected is entirely without foundation.
The management further wishes it to be known that no turnips have entered these premises by unlawful means.
The management also denies peeling any suspiciously oversized turnips after sunset.
Finally, the management respectfully requests that patrons stop asking where the parsley came from.
